Just as “The Double-Slit Experiment” proves that light and matter can exhibit characteristics of both waves and particles, “The Double-Split Experiment” can also exhibit characteristics of both skis and a snowboard. There’s not always a chair or snowmobile to get you to the top, so when you find yourself using leg power, get to steppin’ with “The Double-Split Experiment.”
“The Double-Split Experiment” is simply a splitboard version of “The Superposition.” The characteristics that can be found with “The Superposition” making it an amazing all around board, also make, “The Double-Split Experiment” a great choice for leg powered shredding. The build has been changed slightly to allow the boards feel and dimensions to retain the same feel as its solid version. Phantom hardware keeps the board together nice and tight. We have found that the Phantom hardware is the best mix of strength, adjustability, lightness, and simplicity available. It also looks super clean.
Core- Poplar/paulownia/bamboo insert (lighter with same flex)
Fiberglass- Triax glass
Stringers/Runners- 2x 30mm carbon fiber stringers (lightens board, better pop)
Sidewalls - PU (helps dampen board, stronger more resistant to cracking and chipping making skis mate up tighter)
Top Sheet- ISO 8210 (Lighter material)
