The newest addition to Nerd Snowboards, the Cryptid. Want a unique shape but prefer the ride of a twin? Then the Cryptid is the board for you. The Cryptid is an all mountain twin that is at home in the park, buttering off a roller, or sending your favorite hit in the trees. Let it rip, switch stance if you choose!
“The Cryptid” has a medium flex that is true tip to tail. A single, “medium tight” sidecut radius keeps the board predictable and balanced between nimble and stable. The unique high rocker camber gives you camber under foot with rocker in between. The rocker section is elevated or suspended within the camber profile. This gives the board a more similar ride feel to a traditional camber profile when weighted in the center. However, when weight is shifted towards the nose or tail the suspended rocker allows the board to flex independent from nose to tail. This allows the contact points to unweight and the nose/tail to lift. PU sidewalls and a TPU top sheet soak up the chatter and damp out the ride without completely muting feedback.

Fiberglas- Triax glass
Stringer/Runners- 2x 30mm carbon fiber stringers (lightens board, provides better snap/pop)
Sidewalls- PU (helps dampen board, stronger more resistant to cracking)
Top sheet- TPU (helps dampen board, does not restrict natural flex of board)
Base- Sintered WFO
